Quality Assurance

Find the problems before your customers do.

Test strategy, automation, performance, security and accessibility testing for web, mobile and enterprise systems.

Software Testing & QA at INTELLIA, in brief

INTELLIA's software testing and QA service helps teams release with confidence. It covers test strategy, manual exploratory testing, automated regression suites with Playwright and similar tools, API and integration testing, performance and load testing, security scanning and accessibility audits, integrated into CI/CD so every change is checked automatically.

Every release feels like a gamble

Without systematic testing, teams rely on a few people clicking through the application before release. Regression bugs slip through, releases are delayed by late discoveries, and confidence drops until the team stops shipping improvements at all.

  • Bugs found by customers, not testers
  • Manual regression testing that takes days per release
  • No idea how the system behaves under peak load
  • Security and accessibility checked once, if ever

Capabilities

What our Testing & QA team delivers

  • Test strategy and planning

Risk-based test plans that focus effort where failures would cost the most.

  • Test automation

Maintainable UI, API and unit test suites wired into your pipeline.

  • Manual and exploratory testing

Experienced testers who think like users and find the issues scripts miss.

  • Performance and load testing

Simulate peak traffic, find bottlenecks and set capacity limits before launch.

  • Security testing

Dependency and container scanning, OWASP-based checks and coordination of penetration tests.

  • Accessibility testing

Automated and manual WCAG 2.2 AA audits with prioritized remediation guidance.

Our approach

How a typical engagement runs

  1. 1

    Assess current quality

Review defect history, test coverage, release process and the riskiest areas of the system.

  2. 2

    Define the strategy

Agree what to automate, what to test manually and which quality gates block a release.

  3. 3

    Build the safety net

Automate smoke and critical-path tests first, then expand coverage sprint by sprint.

  4. 4

    Integrate with CI/CD

Tests run on every change; results and trends are visible to the whole team.

  5. 5

    Report and improve

Defect trends, escaped-defect analysis and continuous improvement of the suite.

The testing pyramid, applied pragmatically

Layer What it checks Speed Share of tests
Unit Individual functions and components Milliseconds Largest
API / integration Services, databases, external integrations Seconds Medium
End-to-end UI Complete user journeys in a browser or device Tens of seconds Smallest, critical paths only
Exploratory What scripts cannot predict Human time Every release, focused on change

Quality gates we recommend

  • Build fails if unit or API tests fail.
  • No new critical or high vulnerabilities in dependencies.
  • Accessibility checks pass on key templates.
  • Performance budget (for example LCP under 2.5 seconds on mobile) holds on critical pages.
  • End-to-end smoke suite passes on staging before production approval.

Testing as part of delivery

Every INTELLIA delivery team includes QA from the first sprint, as part of the INTELLIA 6-step delivery framework. Tests run in the same pipelines described in our cloud and DevOps service. For regulated environments, testing evidence feeds audit trails in ASSURA.

How we work together

QA can be added to a project we deliver, embedded in your team, or run as an independent assessment of software built by another vendor.

  • QA assessment

Best for: Before a major release or acquisition

Independent testing of an application with a severity-ranked findings report.

  • Automation setup

Best for: Teams with slow manual regression

Framework, critical-path suites and CI integration, handed over with training.

  • Embedded QA

    Best for: Continuous delivery teams

QA engineers working in your sprints, billed monthly.

We do not publish fixed prices because scope drives cost. Every proposal states assumptions, inclusions and exclusions.

FAQ

Testing & QA: common questions

What should be automated and what should stay manual?

Automate stable, repetitive, high-value checks such as login, checkout, approvals and API contracts. Keep exploratory testing, usability judgments and rapidly changing features manual. A typical healthy split is a broad base of unit and API tests with a smaller set of end-to-end UI tests.

How long does it take to set up test automation?

A framework with smoke and critical-path coverage for one application usually takes three to six weeks. Coverage then grows alongside development.

Can you test software built by another company?

Yes. Independent testing is common before go-live, before accepting a vendor delivery, or during due diligence. We report findings by severity with reproduction steps.

Do you perform penetration testing?

We run automated security scans and OWASP-based checks as part of QA, and coordinate formal penetration testing with specialist firms where certification or regulation requires an independent tester.

How do you measure quality?

Escaped defects, defect density by module, test coverage of critical paths, pipeline pass rates and time to fix. Metrics are reviewed with the team each sprint.
